Cool Things

Keeping thing’s cool, the stuff in your fridge that is,is a must for just about every nomad myself included, although on the budget geotracker1 is on,i had to keep this outlay to a minimum.

So i purchased a Waeco 12v bar fridge that i set about modifying, first thing on the list was a better seal for the door to help hold in the temp, then i installed a big alloy heat sink or what i call a chill dispenser, essentially a p4 sink with a big fan.

Placed on the inside in the right location with a bit of compound, the sink chills very quickly which then has air pulled through it via the fan.

This method has proved very successful in chilling the inside of the fridge from 34Waecodeg Cel to 3deg Cel in 30 minutes.

Dealing with those Days

Entertainment

On rainy days it helps to have some form of entertainment, while the geotracker van has no shortage of that

with the

on board mini PC that whacks a punch, providing such things as

5.1 surround sound,DVD playback,HDTV,Cd and Mp3 playback along with many other things.

There’s also a separate remote controlled Am/Fm 5 Cd stacker in the back that can keep the music going for hours. Along with that there’s the trusty old paper back and a warm cuppa to help keep things moving along.
